Bharat Ratna :
This is the highest awards in India for exceptional work in advancement of art, literature and science or in recognition of public service. It has been conferred by President of India every year on 26 January since 1954. C.Rajagopalachari , S. Radhakrishnan and C.V.Raman are some of the former recipients of this awards.
Padma Awards:
Padma Awards fall next in line after Bharat Ratna Awards.
Padma Vibhushan is the second highest national award conferred for exceptional work in any field including services rendered by Government employee.
Padma Bhushan is the third highest national award conferred for exceptional work in any field.
Padma Bhushan is the third highest national award conferred for exceptional work in any field.
Padma Shri is the fourth highest national award conferred for distinguished work in any field.
Gallantary Awards In India:
Param Vir Chakra : This is the highest military awards for any act of bravery, self sacrifice in presence of enemy, on land or in the air or at sea. This medal is made up of Bronze.
Mahavir Chakra : This is the second highest military award for any act of bravery, sacrifice in presence of enemy, on land or in the air or on sea. This medal is made up of Standard Silver.
Vir Chakra : This is the third highest military award for any act of bravery, sacrifice in presence of enemy, on land, in the air or at the sea.
Ashok Chakra: is awarded for most conspicuous bravery or some act of courage or self sacrifice other than in face in enemy.
Kirti Chakra : is awarded for conspicuous bravery other than in the presence of enemy.
