Mclaren’s Lewis Hamilton won the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at Yas Marina Circuit on 13th Nov 2011, after Formula Champion Sebastian Vettel suffered his first race retirement due to puncture at turn two of the opening lap after making a clean start from his record equalling 14th pole of the season. Unfortunately, Sebastian Vettel had to exit from the race due punctured tyres. Vettel managed to drag the car till the garage where the mechanic declared the car to be damaged .
Lewis Hamilton dedicated his victory to his mother and claimed it to be her birthday gift. Hamilton drove a controlled and self-assured race lap by lap which raised his confidence in beating Ferrari Fernando Alonso
